Lebanon Conference & Banquet Center

Located in Lebanon’s historic 1936 Works Progress Administration (WPA) era former post office, the Lebanon Conference and Banquet Center is an ideal venue for weddings and receptions, anniversary parties, small trade shows and fundraising events.

The main ballroom has a legal capacity of 150 persons and seats 120 guests comfortably for a sit down meal in a 40′ by 50′ space. The facility includes a staging room for caterers, a large lobby area, separate bathrooms and handicapped entrance.

During the Great Depression the Works Progress Administration paid artists to paint murals in the social realism style inside new built government buildings.  Surprisingly, our WPA built post office building did not receive a mural.  When the Warren County Historical Society purchased and renovated the old post office, we sent out a call for artists to submit proposals for a mural. A committee chose a mural featuring Warren Countians experimenting with early flight.  A few years later the late Vivian White, Neil Armstrong’s personal secretary for over 32 years, donated her collection of Armstrong memorabilia which is also on display in the old post office lobby.  We now call this exhibit “From Balloons to the Moon”.  When visiting Harmon Museum you can ask to be escorted to this exhibit.
